OUTWITS TURN SOUND DOWN TO RAISE A FEW LAUGHS
The Outwits love movies. Hell, they’ve seen a lot, been in a few, and made a few more… in last year’s 48 Hour Film Festival, their movie “Carboys and the Indian” won their regional heat and went on to place 2nd in New Zealand out of the over 500 entries.
They return to the New Zealand Comedy Festival circuit (two years ago they were Dos Gringos) with a national tour of their new show Dub, Dub, Dub. The show is a mash up of old movies, classic television and local footage, but there is a twist. All of the voices, SFX and music will be supplied by The Outwits.
“We’re always being asked to shut the hell up in movie theatres so we created this show to get it out of our system.”
You might recognise the pictures but you wont believe what comes out of these lads’ mouths.
Here's some examples of our show:
What to do on a date.
Want some advice on going on your first date?? The Outwits and archival footage from the United States circa 1950 - 196, can help you out.
We used to watch "The Littlest Hobo" all the time when we were young.
The footage is from the original 1960s series and this is the trailer for one of the stories that we will be doing.
If you don't remember the show (or are just a young thing) check the original intro:
